Out of an urge towards creativity as well as the need to give impetus to the indigenous art of block printing Adya was born in Jaipur in October 2008. Starting with one printing master and one tailor, in a short span of two years Adya today employs over 8 workers.

Adya made its debut with printed Tussar silk sarees which were completely sold out at a lifestyle exhibition where they were displayed. With the onset of summer it added organza, kota, supernet, fancy cotton and even printed georgette sarees to its collection. These found a place in a few designer boutiques of Kolkata.

Thereafter, with aim at diverging into made ups, the production of cotton table mats with napkins and silk table mats with runners was started. This was soon followed by silk block printed bedcovers with cushions (quilted and non-quilted).Cotton printed night sheets with pillow covers are also being made. Adya has supplied these bedcovers to some upcoming hotels in Chennai.

The forte of Adya is its uniqueness of combining print with embroidery and its customized production as per the requirement of the buyer. Thus, no two pieces would be identical unless ordered for.

The innovativeness of Adya does not end here. It aspires to start a wide range of home furnishings including curtains, duvet covers and much more.
