It has recently entered the textile retail segment with a chain of stores named H&A. amongst the leading and fastest growing textile companies; Alok recorded net sales of Rs.2170.41 crores in FY 2008.

The company has been in the textile business for more than two decades. The vertically integrated model with presence across the entire value chain from spinning, texturising weaving, knitting, processing to garmenting and home textiles, ensures quality, consistency and dependable delivery schedules at competitive prices. The flexibility to produce in cotton/ polyester/viscose and blends enables Alok to provide complete sourcing solutions for its domestic and international customers comprising of retailers, brands and importers.

Backed with focused expansion plans and state of the art infrastructure, Alok has scaled up to sizeable capacities across its diversified product range. Alok's annual capacities, post expansion, will be 82.5 million meters of sheeting fabric and 6,700 tons of terry towels for its home textiles business, 105mn meters of woven apparel fabrics, 67200 tons of knitted fabrics and 22 million pieces of garments. With the installation of cotton spinning capacities of 59,500 tons per annum (one of India's largest at a single location) Alok has achieved complete integration. The company also has a strong position in the polyester segment with production capacities of 144,000 tons per annum of polyester texturised yarn along with 234,000 tons per annum of POY / PET.

As part of its initiative to promote organic and fair trade cotton, Alok has effectively incorporated the organic concept across the textile value chain. We are a part of some prestigious international projects in organic and fair trade cotton. Being committed to nurture sustainable textile business, Alok Industries Ltd. is duly certified for: ISO 9001:2000, Oeko-Tex Standard 100, Global Organic Textile Standards (GOTS) and Fair Trade Certificate (FLO).

Alok is committed to environment and social compliance. Our plants are fully compliant with social standards. All effluents discharged from our manufacturing units are treated with world class effluent treatment plants which ensure primary, secondary and tertiary treatment before discharge. As a responsible corporate citizen, Alok has taken active steps to integrate with the local population and provide it with sustainable employment opportunities. Approximately 1,000 tribal women have been trained on stiching machines in one of our plants and these women have been absorbed by the company as competent performers in Alok workforce.
