ACCA Professional Accountant Qualification ~ Distance Learning

The ACCA will equip students with an in depth knowledge of Accounting Techniques and Principles, Information Technology and Management Skills which enables the student to work in any area of finance and bring many senior management roles within reach.

Practical training can be obtained prior to or after studying for the examinations.

ACCA is unique and it also offers you the choice of following examinations based on International Accounting Standards (IAS).  As these examinations are relevant to international accounting and finance, you will have a truly “portable” qualification, which can take you any where in the world.

ACCA and BSc Honours Degree in Applied Accounting
Students who have successfully completed the ACCA qualification are eligible to obtain a BSc Honours Degree in Applied Accounting from Oxford Brookes University, UK. Students will need to submit a Research and Analysis Project to the University for assessment.

The Association of Certified and Chartered Accountants
This course can also be studied in the UK at our Business School

Entry Requirements
  • One of the following criteria:
  • Certified Accounting Technician (CAT)
  • AAT UK Intermediate
  • ACCA Certificate in Accounting and Finance
  • ACCA Diploma in Financial Management
  • BTEC National Certificate
  • 2 UK A-levels and 3 GCSEs
  • Degree in any Discipline
  • Other qualifications may be eligible ~ please send details

Assessment Requirements

  • One External Examination for each Paper
  • 6 subjects are taken per year

The length of the course for all of the subjects, if no re-takes, is 2 years 6 months.

Examinations
External Examinations are held at ACCA Examination Centres.
Examinations are in June and December.

Study Timetable
Personal Studies:    10 hours per week

Tutor Support
Support will be provided by our Academic Subject Tutors, and a Personal Tutor, throughout the course.
