Founded in 1989, Double Star Industry Co., Ltd.(DSI) started off with a few modified looms and a confined manufacturing area. In spite of its humble origin, today DSI has grown into a vertical manufacturing facility, from spinning till packing, with more than 120 computer-controlled looms and a manufacturing base of 680,000 square feet.

At the beginning of Year 2005, DSI has made another quantum leap in the company's history by accommodating the state-of-the-art spinning mill under its very own roof. Quality commitment is no longer limited to raw yarn, but it is set at raw cotton level. Under this stringent control at every process, product quality is ensured from start to finish. In recognition of its conformance to international standards and its uncompromising effort to pursue continuous improvement, DSI has been certified for ISO 9001:2000. This indicates the company's fine product quality and testifies its sound manufacturing practices with the impeccable support from the top management. In addition, the certification of SA 8000:2001 granted by BVQI has significantly marked the foundation of a socially responsible organization which offers more than 1,500 jobs to Thai natives and improves their standards of living at a certain level.
