What’s Organic...
- Organic Cotton says no to synthetic chemical fertilizers, insecticides and pesticides & yes to natural fertilizers ,compost and innovative farming techniques.
Why Organic...
- Less than 3% of the world's arable land is planted with cotton. 24% of the world's insecticides & 10% of the world's pesticides are used for cotton cultivation.
So, every year at least three million people get poisoned and 20-40,000 people get killed.
So, millions of water creatures get killed unintentionally each year.
So, enormous soil pollution.
- Pests build up resistance to chemicals, farmer borrows money to buy more chemicals than before, farmer gets less profit from crop, this repeats until farmer is destitute.
- One acre of organic cotton instead of an acre of conventional cotton reduces CO2 release by two tones a year.
What’s Natural dyeing:
 Natural dyes refers to the dyes that are used to dye/print the fabric. They are flowers/roots of plants like Turmeric, onion, pomegranate, myraballams, manure, brazil wood etc…
Why natural dyeing:
- Natural dyeing is a practice of a society in tune with nature. Dyeing is an art; the moment science dominates it, it is an art no longer, and the craftsman must go back to the time before science touched it, and begin all over again
- No petrochemical dyes only plant extracts used as dyes
So no water pollution, instead the waste after dyeing can be used as manure.
- Medicinal properties may be acquired by fabric as many dyes have medicinally rich properties.
So no to allergies, septic, cancer and bad transpiration.

What’s Khadi…
- Khadi is fabric that is Hand spun & Hand woven instead of using machines.
Why Khadi…
- Employment in spinning :- 100 people spin the same amount of yarn through hand spinning units as 2 people with a automatic spinning machine.
- Employment in weaving :- 10 people weave the same meter of fabric through hand weaving loom as 1 person on automatic weaving loom.
- No electricity used in hand spinning or hand weaving
So no to fossil fuel use…. Saving valuable resource
So no to green house gases, no to global warming
A Brief on Production chain.
There are two kind of fabrics (Organic Khadi Fabric & Organic Machine Made Fabric)that we make that follow two completely different processes of production as follows:
Organic Khadi Fabric:-
- Organic cotton for this comes from sources wherein we find this of good quality and of good price. We take organic cotton from any Non-government organization. working with any group of small farmers for organic cotton.
- This cotton is then processed in a unit for pre spinning preparation. Raw cotton is converted to Rowing from here.
- Then the rowing goes to Khadi gram udyog. The are government institutions for promotion of employment among the people in villages.. Here, rowing of cotton is hand spun and hand woven by women on Amber charkha(for spinning) and Leg loom(for weaving) respectively.(Photo of both the machines with women working attached).Here the fabric gets converted to unprocessed grey fabric from rowing.
- Now the fabric comes to our herbal processing unit.
Got approved processing of the fabric(dyeing or printing) takes place with herbal dyes.
- Then the fabric is either dispatched directly to customer or is stitched according to the details of the customer at a GOTS approved stitching unit.
In case of NON-VIOLENT SILK we get the fabric from government organization from Bengal in India. This is again organization working with rural people there.
Organic Machine made fabric.
Here in this case directly either certified organic cotton yarn or certified organic cotton grey fabric is purchased from organic certified companies and not raw cotton.
In case yarn is procured, we get the weaving done from our weaving unit.
After the grey fabric is ready it goes to our herbal processing unit.

Infrastructure- A complete dyeing & printing unit capable of producing 3000 mtr/day production. Supporting it is stitching unit which can manufacture clothes according to given specs.
