How does herbal clothing qualify to be ecological and
environmental friendly?
The process used to finish Auras textiles is completely
chemical free, which we believe an important benefit to our product which has a
significant positive impact on environment as well.
- Got biodegradability and bio compost tendency
- Have lesser carbon footprints on environment
- The entire herbal dyeing and processing completes the
ecological cycle
- It saves river, underground water, soil from polluting
and play a part to save the earth because the residual of herbal dyeing
process solid or liquid is manure whereas the chemical dyeing residuals
are lethal chemicals which are many time untreatably thrown into water in
fact
Our knowledge of the harmful chemicals disposed
in the reverse bores & rivers streams, ruining the water used by
hundreds of innocent families made us determined to produce textiles which
can have a positive impact to our environment & society.
- High levels of agrochemicals are used in the production
of non-organic, conventional cotton. Cotton production uses more chemicals
per unit area than any other crop and accounts to a total of around 25% of
the worlds pesticides. The chemicals used in the processing of cotton
also pollute the air and surface waters. Whereas Organic agriculture uses
crop rotation instead of agrochemicals along with artificial fertilizers
and biological pest control instead of pesticides and thus organic cotton
has less environmental impact than conventional cotton, it costs more to
produce.
- Eco-friendly processing that does not compromise
workers' health and helps reduce water and electric use and toxic runoff.
- Strict testing ensures the absence of contaminants like
nickel, lead, formaldehyde, amines, pesticides and heavy metals.
Manufacturers today are taking into account, the fact that organic
garments are ethical, and are striving to set new market trends. Apparel
business is very enormous, and there is always a resistance to change. But, in
any market, demand is the pivot, and manufacturers will only do what the
consumers want. With consumers dictating the market today; having an organic
wardrobe depends wholly on the consumers choice.
