From the above table it is clear that as the outer cover bamboo has
better property than the other synthetic cover. Kapok, sisal and vettivera also
consist superior property when compared to synthetic materials.
CONCLUSION:
Good seating comfort on long ride due to the presence of vettivera,
agave sisalana and kapok present in the cushion. The bamboo outer covering and
the natural coolant vettivera achieve reduction in heat. Vettivera gives out
natural fragrance. Better absorbency of sweat by bamboo fabric. Better
evaporation rate about 52.8 % in 45 minutes. Reduces discomfort to the driver
due to the presence of sweat and quick evaporation reduces chances of
generation of bacteria due to perspiration. Replacement of synthetic and
non-eco friendly products in automobile seat with eco friendly natural
products. The raw material vettivera and agave sisalana used in this project
work are certified by Indian Ayurvedic Hospital and Research Limited that the
material has coolant and medicinal property with anti-allergic and pain and
stress reliever.
The
redesigned automobile seat with natural products has been field tested in a
private cab and the user has observed that automobile seat with alternate
natural materials has reduced the temperature rise during the hot humid driving
conditions. The anti-bacterial property provides the user hygienic condition
