Textile materials used in the medical and hygiene sector are a significant and increasingly important part of the technical textiles industry. This article reviews the plasma technology, characteristics, types, applications indifferent substrates, plasma effects on silk and its bio materials, what are all the gases can be used and its functions on the silk materials briefly. The objective of this paper to know the various recent developments in this area including the possibility of using plasma treated silk bio materials and its applications. A enumerates the research findings of various researchers using plasma treated silk composites as biomedical materials.

Introduction to Plasma

Modern science reports the existence of three states of matter, namely solid, liquid and gas. Most people, however, thanks to the advent of modern television displays, are vaguely aware that a fourth state known as plasma also exists.Fortunately, plasma exists in various forms, and a lot of it can be harnessed to study and possibly achieve desired outcomes on various substrates, including textiles.

Simply apply plasma is nothing more than ionized gas. When the temperature of a gas is raised its molecules gain energy until a point reaches when the molecules gain enough energy to make the electrons in the gas leave the nucleus of the atom.
