Vidya Rakesh

Vidya Rakesh is a GMT pass-out from NIFT, New Delhi. Currently she is pursuing her Ph.D from the same institute. She is also the Assistant Professor and Course Coordinator of Fashion Design Department in NIFT, Raebareli. Her industry experience has been invaluable in terms of learning and exposure to the best technology available in the industry.

Vidya’s areas of subjects are manufacturing process, patterns making and garment construction. Her passion for these subjects helps her device new means and methods to deliver these to her students. Recently she has started research in the area of women and their apparel. She has the ability to manage a team and bring out the best of all the members.
