Dr. Subrata Das is doctorate in Textile Technology from IIT Delhi, specializing in Textile Chemistry and Garment Quality Management. He has more than two decades of diversified experience in shop floor, research & development, quality assurance, teaching and third party services in quality evaluation, inspection and social compliance/factory audits in multinational companies.

He has also worked with the Consumer Testing Laboratories (India) Limited, Inc. Bangalore. He is currently working with Central Silk Technological Research Institute, Central Silk Board, Ministry of Textiles, Govt. Of India as Scientist "D" ( Reeling & Spinning). He has around 75 publications in reputed national and international textile journals to his credit and has presented 20 technical papers in various conferences across the globe. He is the panel referees of Indian Journal of Fibre and Textile Research.
