Dr. Faheem Uddin holds an M.Sc (1992) in Textile and Polymer Technology from University of Karachi and a Ph. D (1997) in Textile Finishing and Printing from University of Manchester, UK.

He has a work experience of over 15 years in industrial research, teaching and consultancy services; and has conducted training programs for the employees or perspective employees of the textile industry, during 1998- 2001, for various companies in Canada, Saudi Arabia, Pakistan and UK. During July 2002 to December 2005 he worked as an Associate Professor in the Textile Engineering department at NED University of Engineering and Technology (www.neduet.edu.pk), Karachi.

Presently, he is Chairman and Associate Professor in the Textile Department, SST, University of Management and Technology, Lahore (www.umt.edu.pk). He has presented research work in eight international conferences, and has 25 research publications in refereed and reputed international journals; several of those had received the interest and appreciation of professional organizations. He is fellow of the Textile Institute, UK, and was selected for a survey on the rapid expansion of scientific knowledge production for the industry in the Asia- Pacific region, which was jointly conducted by UNESCO and the Australian Expert Group in Industry Studies (AEGIS) at the University of Western Sydney (UWS).
