ABOUT THE AUTHOR:
 Dr. Nicola D'Apuzzo received his Master's Degree in 1996 in mechanical engineering at the ETH Zurich in the field of robotics and biomedical engineering. He then worked as a research assistant at the Institute of Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing of ETH Zurich and he received his Ph.D. degree in 2003 in the field of human body measurement. He is highly specialized in 3D surface digitization techniques, particularly in applications for human body measurements. In April 2004, he founded Homometrica Consulting in Zurich offering consulting services regarding 3D measurement of the human body.
