2.3. Nano dyeing:
Dyeing can also be done via nanotechnology. One of the commonly available nanoparticles is nanoclay. It is possible in the modification process to introduce some chemical groups onto the surface of the nanoclay. This would provide the desired dye affinity in the system in which the nanoclay is evenly distributed within the material structure depending on the dye classes to be used.
2.4. Other Applications:
In addition to composite reinforcement, other application fields based on electro spun polymer nanofibers have been steadily extended in recent years.
3.4.1. Air filtration
The main benefit of nanofibers is a rapid increase of filter efficiency with not so significant decrease of filter permeability. These materials are very efficient in filtration of small particles like dangerous bacteria, viruses, tobacco smoke etc.
3.4.2. Biomedical application
In almost all the human tissues and organs are deposited in nanofibrous forms or structures. Example includes: bone, dentin, collagen, cartilage and skin. It is also used in other potential biomedical areas like medical prostheses, tissue template, wound dressing, drug delivery systems, breathing masks, cosmetics and protective clothing.
3.4.3. Electrical and optical application:
Electrical and optical application and other functional applications like sensors are used in solar sails, light sails, and mirrors for use in space. Nanoconductors, nanoelectric applications as field affect transistors and ultra-small antennas.
4. CONCLUSION:
Recent applications of nanotechnology in textiles have been presented in this article. These applications and developments show that this technology will emerge to dominate the textile field in the future.
