New solutions for pillows and packaging at ITMA Barcelona
Brighi Technologies began in 1970 with trading and repairing sewing machines and equipment for the upholstery and apparel industries in Italy. The company now manufactures solutions and equipment for home textiles and apparels. Managing director (MD) Milva Morani discusses the company's research and development (R&D) plans and its important markets.

What is your core competency?

We manufacture machinery to produce pillows, cushions, upholstery, home textiles, etc. We offer the complete equipment range right up to packaging.
 

Are your technologies Industry 4.0 compliant?

Yes, our technologies can be remotely controlled from our head office as well as by the customer. We also offer after-sales service with the help of a remote.

How important is the Chinese and Southeast Asian market for you?

The Chinese market is very important as we generate the best business from China and the United States. We are working in the Chinese market for many years and our customers are accepting our automated technologies as these are easy to operate and manage.

To how many countries do you export?

We export to 55 countries. Our staff also speaks several languages like Indonesian, Chinese and various other Asian and European languages.

How important is R&D for your company?

Research and development is a continuous process at our company and we will continue to do so. We have set up an R&D department, which also designs customised solutions.

Is your company taking part in ITMA Barcelona 2019? What technologies are you showcasing?

Yes, we are taking part and we will show new solutions in pillows and packaging. We always show something new in exhibitions. We have booked a big booth and our representatives from various countries will be present.  (HO)
