Managing and maintaining the supply base, work closely with suppliers, visiting them when necessary, facilitate the development process, ensure all products can be manufactured commercially and meet safety standards.
To be responsible for negotiating product costs at the correct and best price with the aim of continually improving margins.
Plan and manage the development of the critical path of all products coordinating the activities of all relevant parties at M&P, to deliver to agreed deadlines, ensuring that products are shipped on time.
Work closely with Technical to ensure the product range is safe and meets all safety standards.
Coordinate and develop products under the head of design team.

Have 1 to 2 years experience required.
You must be able to demonstrate a successful track record within a clothing / childrens wear buying environment, be passionate about the product development process and be able to work alongside a wealth of specialists from Commercial Managers to Designers.
Extensive Product Development experience in clothing, ideally baby wear or childrens wear, is essential coupled with the ability to work alongside and manage Far Eastern suppliers.
Product knowledge is key in this position, the ability to understand fabric construction and composition is important coupled with an appreciation of the manufacturing process and design.
Good communication and organizational skills.
