To operate as an extension of the UK buying and sourcing function, providing support to our retail sourcing activities in the Far East region.
The role will require working closely with suppliers, technical teams in the local M&S office, and developing a strong working relationship with the counter parts in the UK to identify new opportunities and drive quality to ensure the brands required standard with the suppliers.
The role will involve sampling, product development, costing & price negotiation, source and build up vendor networks as well as critical path management.

At least 6 to 8 years merchandising experience in garment field.
Sound academic background preferably have a degree or diploma in textiles or clothing.
Strong product knowledge, ideally familiar with UK garment safety standards.
In - depth knowledge of fabric, garment production and costing.
Strong interest on fashion.
Ability to build strong relationships with buyers in the UK and suppliers in country.
Computer Skills Familiar with MS Office and internet is required.
Occasion travel is required.
