Textile Industry B2B Marketers
Are your written marketing communication materials effectively bringing you
the leads and sales your company needs, off or online?
Looking for more qualified leads, expanded sales and a greater ROI? |
Hello…
My name is Linda Kaun. I’m an American B2B copywriter living in Indonesia and specializing in the textile industry. I write lead generation and sales communication materials both off and online for a variety of companies with an emphasis on fabric manufacturers – technical, woven and non-woven – and home/contract interiors – rather than fashion and garment manufacturers.
If you're like most marketers, your day is filled with too much work and too little time to get it all done. You juggle endless meetings, impossible deadlines, and constant interruptions. All under increasing competition and shrinking budgets.
In today’s global marketing challenge, understanding your buyer is more important than ever before. For focused marketing results, you need a B2B copywriter who can translate your product’s features into benefits through precise words that intrigue, persuade and advance buyers forward in the buying cycle. To stay competitive, you must also understand how to integrate various social media tools into your marketing mix.
Whether you need website content, advertising or banner ads, landing pages, brochures, direct mail, lead generation letters, white papers or sales collateral –
I can be your sales catalyst – the spark that ignites your buyer's interest, stimulating a desire and inspiring them to take action. |

[+] Are any of these statements true for you?
You’re pressed for time pushed to produce results, generate leads, source and market your products across international borders, and pressured to boost your ROI while facing rising costs, increased competition and shrinking revenues.
You need to update your marketing materials. They simply don’t tell your story in the best light anymore. Even you feel bored with them! But you can’t pinpoint what needs fixing or see clearly how to improve them.
You find it difficult to translate into words what makes your company unique. You sound like “everybody else” in your marketing materials.
You know there is so much potential on the Internet to spread the word about your business and attract buyers from around the world, but your current website is just not bringing in the results you hoped for. You don’t understand why and have no time to update it.
You’ve heard the latest buzzwords about the new social media and aren’t entirely clear what it means. But you are excited to see how the new media possibilities can add to your marketing mix, increasing your leads and sales.
Trade shows are one of your main marketing channels. You want a fresh perspective for this year’s shows. |
[+] You are likely to be successful working with me if:
You strive for excellence and continuous improvement in your business – no matter what level you’re at. It’s not about the size of your company – it’s the attitude behind everything you do.
You’re curious about new social media and want to explore how to put both the tools and new thinking to work for you.
Relationship marketing means more to you than marketing spin. You believe in your products, your company, you want to convey this to your buyers but you see a need for fresh eyes and ears to put all of this into words.

[+] Here’s what you can expect when you work with me
I give each project 150% of my attention and commitment … going well beyond the minimum required to get the job done. Some clients know exactly what they want right from the beginning. I’m happy to be an order-taker and meet your specifications. More commonly though, clients are not clear on the best approach, for either the entire project or certain aspects of it.
In that case, I engage you in a collaborative process of discovery by asking a ton of questions. I get you thinking about your company, your products, and your place in the market … often from an entirely new perspective. Plus I discover those pieces of information that turn browsers into sign-me-up participants. Then I hone the message to meet your targeted marketing objective.
The end results are buyer-focused marketing and sales materials, translating your message into benefits your buyers can relate to. This means greater response and increased revenue for you.

[+] My Basic Approach
Getting clear on the scope of your project and creating a proposal is the first step. I start by determining the project’s complexity. Do you have your creative brief in place or do we need to formulate your basic message and strategy? What are the marketing objectives? It might be to bring in leads, generate traffic at your upcoming trade show, or send for your new fabric sample pack. What is the project budget? Do you need more than one concept? Additional testing? From your answers I develop a per-project fee structure.
Next we get to the heart of your project, consulting with you to develop the message and creative concepts. We’ll examine information about your target audience; what motivates them, what objections they might have, how we can overcome those objections. We’ll discuss your product, its positioning and how you want to be perceived.
Then, in order to bring clarity and focused direction to each project, I work from a Creative Brief. This is a well-defined blueprint of the entire project … information on your buyers, your product’s benefits, support for those benefits via research, testimonials, credentials, online analytics and so on; your offer, your unique selling proposition, and specifics on the deliverables.
Often the client fills this out. But I can also take on the job. Why do we need this? I know it will not only assure we are in agreement on the direction and scope of the work, but dramatically increase your promotion’s chances for success.
My approach is always with an eye on measurable results. For that reason, no matter what type of materials you are creating, from a magazine advertisement to a website campaign, I only recommend direct response methods so you can track results.
Your project in all its details is important to me. So are your deadlines and submitting copy free of grammatical errors, misspellings and typos. Throughout your project I keep you up-to-date via phone or email. I view my work as a collaborative process, realizing I’m part of a team of executives, designers, webmasters, marketers and others, working together to produce the best possible results. |
[+] My Guiding Principle
The simplest way to express my guiding principle is summed up in the concept of old-fashioned customer service. That service is based on trust, commitment to your success, going out of my way to make sure your job is of the highest level I can provide, being helpful and friendly to work with. My goal is to develop long-term relationships with clients. But whether it’s one job or ten that I complete for you, I’m here to help you grow your business with honesty and integrity.

[+] How a Passion for Textiles Translates into Greater ROI for You
Combining my professional training in direct response copywriting and marketing collateral with my strengths and experiences as a college teacher – published writer – workshop leader – lecturer – saleswoman – and marketer – make me an ideal choice to help your business generate more qualified leads, increase your ROI and expand sales.
My life-long passion for textiles of all kinds, coupled with a 30-year career as a batik artist, gives me a working knowledge of dyeing, printing, stitching and other textile processes that few other copywriters possess.
As an American living in Indonesia since 1992, I understand problems and solutions from different cultural perspectives … a vitally important skill in the global context of the textile industry. |
