Mervile Knitwear is a Zimbabwe based knitted garment manufacturer located in Bulawayo. It’s a subsidiary of F M Chiwora Investments and specializing in textile garments. Mervile Knitwear established in 2001 and registered as private company with registration number 19/97.

Mervile Knitwear is a family company which derived its name Mervile from Mrs. Mercy Chiwora the founder of the company. Like all other rising businesses, Mervile Knitwear started its operations in a backyard. Through determination and sheer hard work the company relocated to an industrial site located in Steeldale.

Mervile Knitwear is a manufacturer as well as suppliers of knitted garments. We deal in knitted garments products such as corporate wear, School wear, Ladies’ fashion knitwear, Gentles’ fashion knitwear, Kiddies’ fashion knitwear. We bring out some exquisite and most exceptional knitted garments for our customers within Zimbabwe. The sector in Zimbabwe comprises of schools, banks, non-governmental organizations and retailer stores. The main objective is to supply to quality corporate and school wear jerseys as well as golf shirts, casual wear, scarfs and hats.

Since commencement, we have outplayed a mass of competitors and consistently built a market share and brand name. We are on the growing path and look forward to being the best knitwear supplier in the country. Our mission is to make available a distinctive, high quality knitwear product, which suit different needs of our customers whilst conducting business ethically.

The objective of the company is to enhance and further develop its relationship with buyers within the Zimbabwean boundaries ensuring expansion of the production and well known brand name. To successfully implement the sales and marketing plan to obtain a 45% market share by 2013.
We aim to offer a solid and trustworthy service, competitive pricing and exceptional service. We   achieve this because we work as a team- the satisfaction of an individual client is not just the responsibility of the sales team.

We manufacture all ranges of knitted garments. We produce high quality garments and create unique designs. Our products are carefully handled from the raw material through to the finalized end product. We strive for high quality on all our products. As the fashion trends are changing day by day, we put our best efforts for innovative, fancy designs on market as well as get some designs from overseas markets to keep up to date with fashion trends.
We produce high quality products using 100% acrylic yarn, which is carefully stored to avoid damages. Every stage of the production process has a supervisor checking the quality of garments to keep our quality standards high. All products before dispatch are carefully inspected ensuring our stringent quality standards are obtained.

To cope with the increasing demand the company’s factory has recently been enlarged. Five new plant machines were purchased with the intention to improve on our delivery time set by customers as well as meeting the market demand for the product.

Our sales policy is 80% local sales and 20% exporting.
