Ahlstrom, a global high performance fiber-based materials company, presents its extensive product range at INDEX 2014. Europe's leading nonwovens exhibition is taking place in Geneva, Switzerland from April 8-11, 2014. Ahlstrom will feature its newest products for the life science, medical, beverages, water, and transportation filtration markets.

For medical markets, Ahlstrom will launch its Dress for Surgical Excellence campaign for Europe at INDEX. Our single-use medical consumables offer the highest levels of protection and comfort to both the patient and surgical staff during high risk surgeries. Our range of high performance offering includes single-use surgical drapes and gowns and sterile barrier systems.

In beverages packaging, Ahlstrom's long-standing commitment to the environment has expanded beyond tea, and into an expanded range of coffee filter webs. Ahlstrom now offers coffee-lovers a renewable alternative, made from sustainable raw materials, which are biodegradable and compostable. Our expertise in high performance products allows us to create a more sustainable future, while delivering high quality and taste.

Ahlstrom Captimax is the next generation fuel filter media that achieves high levels of efficiency on small micron particles without the use of microfiber glass. This level of efficiency and dirt holding capacity, in a wet laid media that can be pleated without additional support structure, is unprecedented in the filtration industry.

Ahlstrom Flow2Save is a patent-pending filter media for high efficiency air applications in indoor air and clean room environments designed to save energy and money. Ahlstrom Flow2Save offers 100% mechanical filtration without electrostatic charge.

The media is developed to ensure reliable, fully mechanical filtration at high efficiency levels for the entire lifecycle of the filter. The excellent pressure-drop characteristics result in lower energy usage of the filter installation and thus significantly lower system operating cost versus micro glass media.

Ahlstrom's Advanced Filtration, Food, Medical and Transportation Filtration business areas are presented at INDEX in booth 1530.

Ahlstrom's products have been nominated for EDANA awards in two categories: Ahlstrom Flow2Save in sustainable product category and Ahlstrom Captimaxin nonwoven roll good category. Winners will be announced on April 8, 2014 at the INDEX.
