AATCC to host Moisture Management Testing Workshop

AATCC, a leading not-for-profit association for textile professionals, will host Moisture Management Testing Workshop on October 3 and 4, 2018, at its headquarters in US. The workshop will provide an overview of the performance technology associated with moisture management and discuss the test methods needed to evaluate your products’ performance claims.
Industry experts will share information regarding customer expectations as well as data interpretation from standard and customised tests. The workshop is specially designed for people responsible for product evaluation, specifications, and quality control for apparel and textile materials. The two-day programme will consist of lectures, demonstrations, and hands-on participation, according to an AATCC press release.
Steve Simonson from International Textile Group will talk on ‘Let’s Talk Moisture Management: What, Why, and How’; Gregg Woodcock from HanesBrands will talk on Moisture Management from a Brand’s Perspective; Diana Wyman from AATCC will discuss about AATCC Test Method 79, Absorbency of Textiles.
Erika Simmons from HanesBrands will discuss about AATCC Test Methods 197, Vertical Wicking of Textiles and 198, Horizontal Wicking of Textiles. John Crocker from SDL Atlas LLC will talk on AATCC Test Method 195, Liquid Moisture Management Properties of Textile Fabrics.
Emiel DenHartog from TPACC, North Carolina State University will talk on breathability/permeability. Carla MacClamrock from Cotton Incorporated will talk on AATCC Test Method 199, Drying Time of Textiles: Moisture Analyzer Method
Daniel Howe from Thermetrics LLC will speak on AATCC Test Methods 200, Drying Rate of Textiles at their Absorbent Capacity: Air Flow Method and 201, Drying Rate of Fabric: Heated Plate Method and Erika Simmons from HanesBrands will speak on AATCC Test Method 204, Water Vapour Transmission of Textiles: Method Overview and Recommended Applications.
