Coats closing its UK crafts business

Industrial threads and zipper supplier Coats said it is closing its crafts business in the UK and that this decision is entirely independent of the results of the EU Referendum.
“All Coats Crafts UK customers are being contacted about the closure, with most operations to cease by October 2016, but the Coats Americas Crafts business will not be affected by this decision,” the company added.
“Coats Crafts UK will work hard with its customers to help ensure continuity of supply and the transition to alternative distributers,” it informed.
MD at Coats Crafts UK, Anna Mitchell said, “Coats would like to thank all of our employees and customers, past and present, for their loyalty to our products and company.” (AR)
