NISTI chairman Dr Darlie Koshy will begin the event with a welcome address, which will be followed by opening remarks by Stephanie Dick, CEO, Textile Institute, UK, and theme address by TI (UK) president Katie Greenyer.
In his keynote address, T Rajkumar, president, The Confederation of Indian Textile Industry (CITI) will speak on 'Textile Value Chain and Industrial Revolution 4.0'. Shishir Jaipuria, CMD, Ginni Filaments Ltd, will also give a keynote address on 'Textile Industry: Innovate and Upskill to grow'.
Dr VK Kothari, Emeritus Professor, IIT-Delhi, will provide discussant remarks, followed by Q&A from participants.
NISTI was established 1989 under the leadership of two of the finest textile institutional leaders at the time in the personalities of (late) Dr NM Swani, then director of IIT-Delhi, and former head of the Department of Textile Technology of the Institute and (late) Dr JK Nigam, then director of Shriram Institute of Industrial Research, Delhi.
NISTI facilitates knowledge enrichment and skill upgradation through training of manpower in manufacturing industry. It also provides specialist advice and vision-building enablement in owner/industry associations through participation in committees.
