RIL showcasing diverse portfolio of R|Elan & Recron

Reliance Industries Limited (RIL), the Indian multinational conglomerate, is showcasing a diverse portfolio of R|Elan™ fabrics and Recron® fibre & yarns under sustainability, wellness, performance and aesthetics categories at the F2F Sourcing Show 2020, the virtual fair being organised by Fibre2Fashion. These products are designed to meet the emerging needs of consumers.

RIL's innovation led Recron® fibre technology impart inherent functionality and performance attributes to the fabrics. The key attributes and products are:

Sustainability:  Recron® and R|Elan™ GreenGold made from 100% post consumed PET bottles,

Wellness: R|Elan™ FeelFresh is anti-microbial fabric and inhibits bacterial growth,

Performance: Products that enhance consumer performance like R|Elan™ Kooltex for moisture management tackling sweat, R|Elan™ AirTherm that provides thermal insulation, R|Elan™ AllClima that helps the consumer across the year be it any weather keeping them cool in summers and warm in winters,

Aesthetics: R|Elan™ SuperFeel is one of the finest fabrics with excellent touch and feel, R|Elan™ FreeFlow enables exceptional drape and fall, R|Elan™ SuperBlack has one of the richest shades of black.

These technologies are used to manufacture superior fabrics that provides superior quality edge in the market.

“We work with our value chain partners to manufacture R|Elan™ fabrics that are environment friendly, prioritises comfort, hygiene and fashion," said Gunjan Sharma, CMO – Polyester Business, RIL.

"Apart from showcasing a wide array of products made by using R|Elan™ by our partner brands and manufacturers, we are also focusing on creating awareness about the benefits of these technologies and resultant attributes among the entire textile value chain and including end consumers," said Sharma.

When asked about the markets that the company is focusing on, Sharma said, "the domestic market is our key focus area. However, we are pleased to see increased inquiries from international markets especially from US and EU. Hence, we are also looking at global markets to engage with the value chain across manufacturing and consumption hubs."

Speaking about the importance of virtual trade fairs, Sharma said, "The current pandemic situation has advanced the technology acceptance across the value chain. Virtual events are one of the results of the industry implementing technology innovatively, to give the exhibitors and visitors a travel free but engaging experience. Going forward we expect to see more of such events and expos being organised virtually."
