SSM names Dr. Maccabruni as new CEO

Switzerland based Schärer Schweiter Mettler AG (SSM) has named Dr. Davide Maccabruni as the new CEO from April 1 and he replaces Ernesto Maurer.
“Dr. Maccabruni is currently the head of R&D and also managing director of SSM Giudici and has been with the company since the last 10 years,” a SSM press release said.
“With Dr. Maccabruni's move to the top, we ensure continuity in the successful management of this leading manufacturer of textile machinery in Switzerland,” the press release added.
SSM is a leading manufacturer of winding and texturing machines as well as sewing thread finish winders.
SSM is the inventor of today's commonly used electronic yarn guide system and apart from its operations in Switzerland, operates two subsidiaries, one in Italy and the other in China. (AR)
