Cherokee debuts Tony Hawk at Sports Direct in Europe

Global marketer of style-focused lifestyle brands Cherokee Global Brands has launched Tony Hawk signature clothing and accessories at retail chain Sports Direct throughout the UK and Europe.
As per a Cherokee press release, it and Sports Direct have collaborated in the development of a multi-tiered product line including t-shirts and printables, shorts, pants, sweatshirts and hats.
“The Tony Hawk launch is accompanied by a fully-integrated marketing campaign, including, social media outreach, digital content and sponsorship at the 2015 NASS Festival,” the press release said.
Henry Stupp, Cherokee Global Brand's CEO said, “We are very excited to launch the Tony Hawk brand at Sports Direct and believe that Tony's exceptional awareness and demand for Hawk-branded products will be well received.”
“Europe is a strategic market for the Tony Hawk brand and we look forward to working closely with Sports Direct to scale this important business,” he added.
The company also added that globally Tony Hawk has attracted a well-established fan base across multiple social media, including over 6 million Facebook fans, more than 4 million Twitter followers, 2.2 million Instagram followers.
Tony supports a younger generation of skaters through his Birdhouse Skateboards team and his work at the Tony Hawk Foundation.
Cherokee Global Brands has brands in its portfolio like Cherokee, Carole Little, Tony Hawk Signature Apparel and Hawk Brands, Liz Lange, Everyday California, Sideout, Ale by Alessandra and Flip Flop Shops.
The company currently maintains license and franchise agreements with leading retailers and manufacturers that span over 50 countries in 7,400 retail locations.
