CMC's LA Fashion Market sees robust traffic of visitors

The Fall/Holiday Edition of the 2014 Los Angeles Fashion Market at the California Market Center (CMC) took place from June 8-11. Many exhibitors at TRANSIT Footwear & Accessories and SELECT Contemporary Tradeshow reported writing new business, while new showrooms were pleased with the foot traffic at the show.
 
"We just opened the showroom last week," said Dustin Moss of Moss/Jang, a new Young Contemporary line. "We couldn't be more appreciative of how welcoming the CMC has been and excited about all of the new contacts we made during the Show."
 
Key retailers who attended LA Fashion Market included Kitson, Just Fab, Four Seasons Hotel Beverly/Wilshire, Revolve Clothing, Zappos.com, Nordstrom, Lulu's Fashion Lounge, JW Marriott, Forever 21, Pacific Sunwear, Emphatic- Fred Segal, Hot Topic, LF Stores, Morongo Casino, Vera Bradley, Amazon, Duck and Dressing, Dillard's, Tootsies, Marshall Retail Group, Harari, Boulmiche, Rock Etiquette, Catalina Gear, The Red Balloon, Runaway Gypsies, Clover, Island Outfitters, and many more.
 
Additionally, returning exhibitors at SELECT Contemporary Tradeshow, confirmed reports of increases in buyer traffic. "I couldn't believe the amount of retailers who came through on day one alone," said Kylie G, Owner and Designer of contemporary Australian brand Elliott Label. "I made so many new contacts that I ran out of lookbooks and had to have more printed."
 
Similarly, exhibitors at Transit Footwear & Accessories, LA's longest dedicated footwear show, noted that at this edition of the Show, many new accounts were opened across the Show floor. "We had a great Show," said Ed Goetz, Account Executive of MIA Shoes. "We opened over many new accounts." Other exhibitors, such as Seychelles and The Frye Company, also opened new accounts.
