With an eye on the issue of environmental sustainability, Lupo, the largest manufacturer of stockings and underwear in Brazil, has just launched its first organic cotton underwear.
Besides being antiallergenic, Lupo's new underwear is not toxic to those who participate in harvesting the cotton or those who wear the finished piece.
The new product's fabric – manufactured by Malharia Affiniti Berlan – is made by means of a process that uses natural resources, from planting to harvest, without any agro-toxins, chemical fertilizers or other inputs that are harmful to health and the environment.
Since it is softer and silkier, organic cotton yarn results in an extremely comfortable and adhering product, mainly because it has Elastane, which guarantees these characteristics.
The novelty is available in slip and brief models in black, white, blue, cream and earthy brown and in S, M, L and XL. The organic cotton underwear was launched at the 2008 Lingerie Fair in São Paulo.
