Another Amazon sale with premium delivery

After its Great Indian Festive Sale, it will now be the Great Indian Diwali Sale on Amazon.in, which, the company promises will be even bigger and better. Starting 12:00am on October 26th to 11:59pm on October 28th, the Great Indian Diwali Sale will offer customers 72 hours Deal Marathon - with new deals every 30 minutes - to choose from, across hundreds of categories and crores of products, Amazon said.

The icing on the cake is the 'premium morning delivery'.

Customers can enjoy late night shopping and bag uninterrupted and irresistible Midnight Deals from 12:00am to 8:00am everyday in addition to the Blockbuster Deals starting 8:00am onwards. Customers can access the deals from their PCs, mobile phones or mobile app. In line with the “Pehle App” offerings on Amazon.in, customers shopping on the Amazon App will get additional cashback from Citi, 15 minutes early access to top deals and they also stand to save money on specially curated app-only deals.

“Last minute shoppers too can shop without reservations as Amazon.in's premium delivery services including Morning Delivery will ensure that they get their products delivered on time,” Samir Kumar, Vice President Category Management, Amazon India said.

Earlier this month, Amazon India launch five-day sales frpm Ocotber 13 to October 17. Ahead of the sale, Amazon India has tripled its warehousing capacity to 5 million cubic feet since last Diwali and lined up one million products for next-day delivery.

Amazon's rival Flipkart also had a similar sale during the same period. Both the e-commerce players drew a backlash from small traders who accused the deep-pocketed e-commerce companies of using foreign money illegally to fund huge discounts. (SH)
