Auburn University in Alabama, US and performance footwear, apparel and equipment maker Under Armour have announced a long-term partnership that will keep Under Armour as the official outfitter of Auburn athletics through June 2025, the University said in a statement.

“Auburn has been one of our landmark relationships in the NCAA, as the first university athletic department to partner with Under Armour in 2006,” said Adam Peake, executive vice president of global marketing for Under Armour. “The Tigers are part of our brand's heritage and we are thrilled to have them as an integral part of our future as we continue to provide world-class, innovative product to their student athletes and the entire Auburn fan base.”

Auburn athletics director Jay Jacobs welcomed the agreement saying, “As the first college program to sign a comprehensive all-sport apparel deal with Under Armour, we are thrilled to announce an extension with our apparel and footwear partner that achieves our goal of providing the best student-athlete experience in the nation.”

“The Tigers are part of our brand's heritage,” Peake said, “and we are thrilled to have them as an integral part of our future as we continue to provide world-class, innovative product to their student athletes and the entire Auburn fan base.”

Under Armour also has sponsorship agreements with six other American universities and the Naval Academy Athletic Association. (SH)
