Mukesh Ambani occupied the first position with a whooping net worth of $18.9 billion, followed by Dilip Shanghvi of Sun Pharmaceutical with a net worth of $18 billion. The collective wealth of India's hundred richest people amounts to $345 billion in 2015.
Commenting on this year's list, Sourav Majumdar, editor, Forbes India, said: “This year's list reflects the churn in the global economy and the growing clout of emerging sectors like ecommerce in India.”
Earlier this week, China's Hurun India Rich List 2015 declared Binny Bansal as the 5th and Sachin Bansal as the 6th wealthiest in the less than 40 age group.
