Sachin Bansal and Binny Bansal, founders of the Indian e-commerce giant Flipkart, have entered the Forbes India rich list. With a net worth of $1.3 billion each, they ranked 86th on the list.

Mukesh Ambani occupied the first position with a whooping net worth of $18.9 billion, followed by Dilip Shanghvi of Sun Pharmaceutical with a net worth of $18 billion. The collective wealth of India's hundred richest people amounts to $345 billion in 2015.

Commenting on this year's list, Sourav Majumdar, editor, Forbes India, said: “This year's list reflects the churn in the global economy and the growing clout of emerging sectors like ecommerce in India.”

Earlier this week, China's Hurun India Rich List 2015 declared Binny Bansal as the 5th and Sachin Bansal as the 6th wealthiest in the less than 40 age group.

Headquarted in Bangalore, Flipkart has 30,000 sellers and more than 30 million registered customers, making it one of India's largest e-commerce marketplaces. (HO)
