Flokser produces half of Turkish tech leather for garments

Turkey-based Flokser Textile’s production of technical leather for garments accounts for 50 per cent of production volume in Turkey and its production of upholstery products corresponds to 35 per cent of the total capacity, according to company board member Ekin Tukek. The company continues to grow at an annual rate of 15 per cent, she said.
By ensuring that products contain up to 15 per cent of bio-content and using natural resources in less quantity, the company supports recycling of food waste and reuse recycled raw materials to produce leather, thereby reducing dependence on petroleum products, Tukek told Fibre2Fashion in an interview.
