Gap names Tracy Gardner to its board of directors

Gardner has been associated with Gap Inc and Banana Republic since 1991, working on several creative roles and positions till 1994. She rejoined Gap in 1998 for a senior leadership position, and was with the company till 2004, bringing the company tremendous growth. She was associated with J Crew on several leadership positions from 2004 to 2010, making the company expand across channels. She served as a consultant to numerous start-ups during the span between 2010 and 2013, and has played the role of a CEO for Delia Inc from 2013 to 2014.

She joined Gap again in 2015 as an advisor to the company's namesake brand, and was elevated to be made its 11^th board member and fourth woman board member, the release stated.

“With more than 30 years of experience, Tracy is an accomplished merchant, creative advisor and leader in growing multi-channel brands,” said Bob Fisher, chairman of the board of Gap Inc. “Tracy's deep product expertise will bring a powerful creative voice to our already accomplished board.”
