Gerber & Alvanon to host seminars in Scandinavia countries

Gerber and Alvanon have announced details of a tour designed to bring the very latest 3D virtual and PLM, innovations to apparel companies in Finland, Sweden, Norway and Denmark.

“The tour to be held from November 17-20, 2015 is being organised in collaboration with two of Scandinavia's apparel development technology suppliers Amatec and ACG Nyström,” an Alvanon press release stated.

Titled 'Transforming apparel development with virtual technologies', each one-day seminar program will explain how apparel retailers, brands, designers and manufacturers can use advanced 3D virtual product development and PLM innovations to make fashion better, faster and more profitable.

Ed Gribbin, president of Alvanon and Michael Lock, principal PLM consultant with Gerber technology will share their insight and proven expertise across a key range of topics.

These include the most effective 3D virtual product development technologies; best practice in apparel sizing and fit; working with PLM versus PDM and product development management platforms.

In addition, local partners Robert Olsson, head of CAD/CAM/PLM division and Åsa Hegardt, PLM presales of ACG Nyström AB and Margit Karin Aarset, sales and application engineer of Amatec will also present.

They will explain how they can advise local companies on best current product development practices and support with the full range of 3D-based and PLM solutions.

The first event will be held on November 17 at Radisson Blu Royal Hotel, Helsinki, Finland and the second one will be hosted on November 18 at Elite Palace Hotel, Stockholm, Sweden.

The third will be held on November 19 at N?ringslivets Hus in Oslo, Norway and the final one on November 20 in Copenhagen, Denmark. (AR)
