Sales of performance running category grew 43.5 per cent to ¥54.4 billion (¥37.9 billion) due to strong sales mainly in the Japan, North America, Europe, Greater China and Oceania regions, while sales of core performance sports grew 18.3 per cent to ¥13.5 billion (¥11.4 billion). Moreover, sports style cateogory's sales during Q1 FY21 increased 20.2 per cent to ¥8.8 billion (¥7.3 billion), and apparel and equipment sales were up 2.4 per cent to ¥8.7 billion (¥8.5 billion). Onitsuka tiger’s sales surged 30.0 per cent to ¥9.8 billion (¥7.6 billion).

Regionally, Asics sales all regions improved except South East and South Asian region: Japan ¥30.5 billion (¥30.3 billion), North America ¥18.8 billion (¥15.6 billion), Europe ¥31.1 billion (¥21.7 billion), Greater China ¥13.5 billion (¥6.9 billion), Oceania ¥7.6 billion (¥4.7 billion), South East and South Asian ¥2.5 billion (¥2.7 billion), and Others ¥7.5 billion (¥7.3 billion).
