At the Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the Pakistan Readymade Garments Manufacturers and Exporters Association (PRGMEA), newly appointed chairman Ijaz Khokhar stressed on the need for an industry wise new marketing plan in order to expand exports. He also said that maximum advantage should be taken from the GSP Plus status to stem decline in exports.

Khokhar also added that he will continue his efforts to promote the apparel manufacturing sector, while also prioritising constant energy supplies to the value added sector and also properly implementing PRGMEA's strategy to derive maximum GSP Plus status benefits.

He said that while competitors like China and India are using all resources to increase their market share, Pakistan is competing in the worldwide market without any roadmap and support, Pakistan media reported. (AR)
