Peter Millar, a leader in the luxury apparel market, announced that it has been chosen as the Official Apparel Provider for the United States Team at The Presidents Cup 2011, to be held November 15-20 at The Royal Melbourne Golf Club in Melbourne, Australia.

Peter Millar will outfit Team Captain Fred Couples, Captain's Assistants Jay Haas and Michael Jordan along with all U.S. team participants for the Opening Ceremonies and Gala, as well as provide on-course attire, including knit shirts, pants and sweaters.

“We are honored to be a part of the complete look for the United States Presidents Cup Team, both on and off the course beginning with the Opening Ceremonies until the final day of competition. Peter Millar has come to represent what classic American style is about. The U.S. Team will exude great style and make for an exciting week of competition set on an international stage,” says Scott Mahoney, CEO of Peter Millar.

“I wanted the players to have great quality clothing and look sharp for our events. Peter Millar was able to put together all of our pieces that we needed and will represent our team well in Australia,” says U.S. Captain Fred Couples.

Peter Millar will bring timeless sophistication and style to the U.S. Presidents Cup Team apparel choices. From custom super 130's wool suits, imported cotton dress shirts and silk neckwear, to merino wool sweaters, superfine wool pants, and double mercerized Egyptian cotton knit shirts, every member of the U.S. Presidents Cup Team will be dressed by Peter Millar.

The Presidents Cup, a team match play competition featuring 24 of the world's top golfers – 12 from the United States and 12 from around the world, excluding Europe – is held every two years, and since 1996 has alternated between United States and international venues.
