Less than a month old Sydney-based Parsons Logistik has announced acquisition of the 99-year-old design and manufacturing company Australian Defence Apparel (ADA).
As per the deal, the 'total apparel management' operator Parsons Logistik will unite with ADA when desired, but carry out individual day-to-day operations separately.
Parsons Logistik is expected to benefit from ADA's established customer base, domestic design and production expertise, commitment to R&D, and investment in new technologies.
ADA, on the other hand, will get the benefit of Parsons Logistik's advanced logistic skills and complete online inventory and apparel management.
With bases in both Bendigo and Melbourne, ADA presently designs and produces protection clothing and uniforms for various organizations like the Australian Defence Force, law enforcement staff, and fire and emergency services.
The unison will create new opportunities and possibilities for Parsons Logistik which specializes in uniform creation, right from the initial design state to the final delivery and replenishment.
