OutDoor--Sciessent, makers of the Agion Active brand of odor elimination technology announces its partnership with Maier Sports to bring social confidence to consumers who want to stay fresh during their favorite outdoor activities.

Agion Active odor elimination technology will be available in Maier Sports' new Spring/Summer 2012 line of men's and women's Trek functional shirts and jackets and women's Basic tank tops and T-shirts, as well as Maier's Gonso Bike and Activewear line of cycling jerseys.

Built for the recreational outdoor enthusiast who enjoys casual sport as well as serious cyclists, the Maier Sports with Agion Active apparel lines ensure that no matter what outdoor activity they choose, consumers will not offend with unpleasant body odor.

“We are pleased to partner with Sciessent to offer Agion Active in our new apparel lines,” said Gerhard Maier of Maier Sports. “The Maier name is synonymous with high quality and comfort. With Agion Active we are able to offer our customers an added layer of comfort – comfort in the fact that they are staying fresh even when engaged in a sweat-inducing activity.”

Agion Active features a dual action technology that not only provides antimicrobial protection and industrial-strength odor elimination, but also eliminates odors both on and around the fabric. Agion Active's silver ion antimicrobial technology eliminates odor-causing bacteria on the fabric, while a natural, proprietary odor-trapping solution captures molecules from vapor based odors and releases them when washed. Unlike odor control currently on the market, Agion Active eliminates odor from over 14 sources, achieving performance well beyond what has been offered to the consumer to date. Agion Active is not a nanosilver based technology and has earned bluesign certification proving that it delivers the utmost in consumer safety. Agion Active continues to perform for the life of the garment, regenerating with each wash.

“We are excited to join forces with a leading innovator like Maier Sports to offer Agion Active to their customers,” said Paul Ford, chief executive officer of Agion. “Already proven effective in the United States, we are pleased have our odor elimination technology delivered throughout Europe by one of the most well known and respected brands in the outdoor and cycling industry.”
