Brand Matter + Bernette tie up for Caribbean Joe sportswear

Brand Matter, LLC, owner of the Caribbean Joe brand, announced that it has entered into an exclusive long term licensing agreement with Bernette Textile Company for Caribbean Joe branded men's and boy's sportswear, including knits, wovens, sweaters and casual bottoms, activewear and outerwear.
Bernette has hired the core sales and design team from the former licensee and will begin immediately to work with the current retail customers on all future business. They will focus on Caribbean Joe's present retail distribution of Department and Specialty Stores in the United States.
Rick Platt, President of Brand Matter, LLC said, “Brand Matter has been consistently adding strong new licensing partners and categories to our stable of owned and managed Brands, as we have signed 24 licensees over the past 12 months. We are dedicated and committed to finding best-in-class partners for our portfolio of brands. Bernette Textile defines that profile. We are excited to have them on-board.” Rick added “They clearly understand the Caribbean Joe brand DNA and are working diligently to transition the current business.”
Jeff Siskind, Bernette Textile Company President said, “As a company we have been looking for a genuine casual collection sportswear brand to add to our group of prominent licenses. We are working closely with the Brand Matter team, as well as the Caribbean Joe staff, to execute a seamless transition as Bernette will begin to manage the business effective immediately.” Jeff added, “Caribbean Joe is an established name that currently enjoys great success at retail. Caribbean Joe is a fun, cool, vibrant and exciting brand and we intend to treat it that way.”
