ITOCHU signs exclusive contract with Nina Ricci

The parent company of Nina Ricci S.A.R.L. is the Puig Beauty and Fashion Group, a major Spanish perfume company holding a 7% share in the global perfume market. The group holds three brands in Nina Ricci, Paco Rabanne, and Carolina Herrera, and recently acquired Jean-Paul GAULTIER. Its perfume business includes contract-based distribution of products from PRADA, Valentino, ZARA, MANGO, and Comme des Garçons.

For FY2010, the Group posted sales of 1.2 billion euros, with after-tax profit of 130 million euros.

Profile of Peter Copping
Peter Copping was born in the United Kingdom in 1966. He attended Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design, a renowned fashion school in London, and the Royal College of Art, obtaining master's degrees from both.

His career began at Christian Lacroix. He later worked for the Italian label Iceberg and returned to Paris to accumulate knowledge and skills at Sonia Rykiel, thereby establishing his own tailoring techniques.

In 1994, Copping was selected by Marc Jacobs of Louis Vuitton to be a member of his small team. He took this as an opportunity to obtain comprehensive knowledge in the creation of luxury wear.

Copping was selected to be a Nina Ricci designer in 2009 and exhibited in the 2010 Spring-Summer Collection. Since then he has been involved in expressing the Nina Ricci world.
