Despite the fluctuating economy, buyers did select CURVENY New York as the destination to find the highest quality intimate apparel, swimwear, and men's collections for their stores. They came, they discovered the right products to boost their sales and speak to the diverse consumer, and they wrote orders.

With a total of 3,193, there was an increase not only in the number of visitors attending, but in the time that they stayed at the three-day show. For the first time, more than 50% of the buyers worked the floor for two days. Geographically, the greater tri-state area represented 53% of visitors, with the remainder of the visitors originating from the East Coast, with Florida representing 11%. Internationally, there was an increase of Canadian and Caribbean buyers as a result of the addition of swimwear.

All of the major domestic and international department stores were present this season. This included Saks Fifth Avenue, Barney's New York, Bloomingdales, Macy's, Neiman Marcus, Dillards, Bon-Ton, House of Simons (Canada), Holt Renfrew (Canada), Ogilvy (Canada), Lane Crawford (Hong Kong), Itochu (Japan), Isetan (Japan), and Harvey Nichols, (Dubai).

On the exhibitor side, CURVENY New York boasted the largest brand selection to date with 315 domestic and international brands. For the first time, CURVENY New York created a new destination for swimwear retailers in the United States' fashion capital with almost 90 designer swimwear collections.

The special events at CURVE yielded the highest attendance out of any past CURVENY New York shows. Featuring events such as the Retailer Get-Together Breakfast, Social Media Seminar, and the S/S 2012 Trends Seminar, each are created for the retailer in search of knowledge, networking, and new opportunities.

Now in its third edition, the CURVENY New York Fashion Targets Breast Cancer (FTBC) Raffle demonstrated the industry's commitment to CURVE/CFDA's charitable initiative. Twelve generous gifts were donated by prominent FTBC supporters including Cala Ossidiana, Chantelle, Hanky Panky, Lelo, Le Mystère, Natori, Nicole Miller, Simone Pérèle, Stella McCartney, Tommy Hilfiger, Tory Burch, and Wacoal.

CURVE is now looking forward to proceeding with the Spring/Summer 2012 road show at CURVENV Las Vegas August 22, 23, 24. More than 260 designer intimate apparel, swimwear, and men's underwear collections will be unveiled to the West Coast market.

The next CURVENY New York edition will take place February 21, 22, 23 2012 during the New York Fashion Week featuring Fall/Winter 2012 collection.
