Vietnamese clothing sector upbeat on Chinese fabrics

At present, Vietnam is the second largest market for China's fabric exports, only next to Hong Kong.
In the first half of 2011, China's fabric exports to Vietnam registered US $1.86 billion, an increase of 70.9 percent year on year and accounted for 61.6 percent of China's textile and garment exports to Vietnam.
The main export item was cotton fabric which amounted to US $700 million, an increase of 79.9 percent. Export price marked US $1.84 / meter, up 33.1 percent year on year.
Exports of finished products and clothing were US $483 million and US $ 416 million, representing an increase of 63.8 percent and 18.7 percent, respectively, year on year.
China's yarn exports to Vietnam scored US $260 million, up 120.2 percent year on year with chemical fibre yarn accounting for a majority of exports.
