New Dallas store reflects JCP's commitment to energy efficiency

J. C. Penney Company, Inc. will celebrate the grand opening of its new Dallas store in the TimberCreek Crossing shopping center on Sept. 30, showcasing the Company's style transformation resulting from an infusion of new and innovative merchandise concepts, brands and designer collaborations.

"We're inviting the people of Dallas to rediscover jcpenney as a first-choice style destination and experience our industry-leading customer service," said Nic Hohne, store manager. "Our new store at TimberCreek Crossing places us at the heart of a fast-growing retail corridor that provides convenient access to a large and diverse segment of the community. Customers will be delighted to find they can affordably dress the whole family and decorate their homes in current, on-trend styles from our strong collection of brands."

Exciting Attractions
The 105,000-square-foot store demonstrates how jcpenney is transforming the department store experience with innovative merchandise, store environment, services and technology. The shopping experience is enhanced by strong attractions, including a Sephora beauty boutique, the iconic Liz Claiborne brand found exclusively at jcpenney, and two new offerings in unique shop-within-a-shop environments - MNG by Mango and Call It Spring.

The full-service, 1,700-square-foot Sephora inside jcpenney will showcase the most desired brands in makeup, skincare, fragrance, bath and accessory products and will be staffed by a team of specially trained beauty consultants. MNG by Mango, created in collaboration with the acclaimed Spanish fashion house Mango, delivers a complete, European fast-fashion collection of contemporary women's apparel, handbags, accessories and shoes. Call It Spring's extensive collection of modern handbags and men's and women's shoes features affordable, youthful style from The ALDO Group, making it easy to complete fashionable looks from head to toe.

The single-level store's efficient design makes it easy to shop for sought-after national brands such as Levi's, Nike, adidas, Calphalon and Carter's. It also showcases jcpenney's collaborations with top designers for exclusive brands, such as nicole by Nicole Miller, I "Heart" Ronson by Charlotte Ronson, ALLEN B. by Allen B. Schwartz, Cindy Crawford Style and JOE Joseph Abboud In addition, the store highlights jcpenney's range of industry-leading private brands, including styles created by jcpenney's talented team of 220 local designers.

In-Store Services and an All-new Salon
The new jcpenney store provides an assortment of services under one roof, including a jcpenney Portraits studio, Custom Decorating services for the home and a full-service jcpenney Salon offering an array of professional hair and beauty services.

Built for Energy Efficiency
The TimberCreek Crossing store demonstrates jcpenney's commitment to energy efficiency and is one of two stores jcpenney selected for inclusion in the Department of Energy's Net-Zero Energy Project. Under project guidelines, the store is designed to achieve energy savings of 50 percent or more compared with code-minimum energy-efficiency requirements for similar new buildings.
