NAUTICA's Styling Contest sees trend-setting winners

In a competition that saw the leading stylists from the two metropolitans – Mumbai and Delhi - putting their fashion know-how to best use with styles depicting the coming season's trends, one witnessed some innovative garments being paired together to create edgy contemporary looks befitting the contemporary and chic trendsetters of today.

The hot competition was a close shave between most stylists as every look was as modish and smart as the other. Nautica customers, after much deliberation, finally declared a winner from each city. From Delhi it was Benjamin, a Freelance Stylist principally with The Man magazine and from Mumbai it was celebrity stylist and freelancer Nischay Niyogi known for styling celebrities such as Shruti Haasan and Sonakshi Sinha. Their looks though different in construction and temperament came across as those most synonymous with the essence of Nautica - understated yet contemporary clothing for young charismatic men.

Benjamin's look used timeless classics like tan chinos, suede loafers and a striped straight jacket that were rendered a novel appeal with a striking green polo T-Shirt and pocket square along with a straw Bolero Hat. Nischay took no time in picking up a bright red polo T-shirt and simple yet dapper black shorts.

To this he added elements immediately defining a voguish air – a polka-dotted bowtie and black-rimmed geek chic glasses. Both looks had one thing in common – they were ideal for going about on casual afternoons or a more sedate lunch with one's peers as well. The looks symbolized the easy unstudied sophistication one associates with Nautica.
