Exports of silk apparels to Hong Kong grow significantly

China's exports of silk apparels to Hong Kong grew significantly to 15.65 million pieces (sets) during the first seven months of 2011, registering an increase of 175.1 percent year-on-year, statistics from China Customs revealed.
The exports generated revenue of US$ 71.71 million for China, a rise of 13.74 percent year-on-year. The average price per piece (set) fell to US$ 4.58, a decrease of 58.66 percent year-on-year.
China's silk apparel exports to Hong Kong during January-July period accounted for 7.94 percent in volume, and 10.25 percent in value of the total silk apparel exports.
