Marvel Entertainment, LLC, a global character-based entertainment company, and Aeropostale, Inc, the parent company to kid's retailer P.S. from Aeropostale, announced an exclusive collection of Marvel Super Hero merchandise available under the P.S. from Aeropostale brand.

The apparel and accessories line will be targeted to P.S. from Aeropostale customers, kids between the ages of four and 12 years-old, and will include designs inspired by classic Marvel Super Heroes such as Spider-Man as well as next summer's blockbuster film event, Marvel's 'The Avengers,' which features Iron Man, Captain America, Thor, The Incredible Hulk, Black Widow and Hawkeye.

"The P.S. brand is focused on providing innovative, fun fashion at great value," said Scott Birnbaum, Senior Vice President, Marketing and E-commerce of Aeropostale, Inc. "The partnership with Marvel combines the world's most popular Super Heroes with our fresh designs to create a unique and exciting addition to our holiday collection."

The initial product including t-shirts, hoodies and accessories will debut this October in P.S. from Aeropostale stores across the U.S. and online at website. Additional apparel and accessories will continue rolling out in support of Marvel's 'The Avengers' in theaters on May 4, 2012.

P.S. from Aeropostale will be supporting the Marvel Super Hero collection with an integrated marketing and promotional campaign which includes in-store displays, social media outreach, a Super Heroes shop at website and character appearances in several of its P.S. from Aeropostale stores on October 15, 2011.

"We continue to identify ways to grow outside traditional product categories and distribution channels and feel that the new relationship with P.S. from Aeropostale further demonstrates Marvel's aggressive push into new retail sectors," said Paul Gitter, President of Consumer Products for North America, Marvel Entertainment. "Combining P.S. from Aeropostale's DNA with our Super Heroes has resulted in a fashion forward collection that is both cool for kids while also pleasing to parents."

Aeropostale, Inc. is a mall-based, specialty retailer of casual apparel and accessories, principally targeting 14 to 17 year-old young women and men through its Aeropostale stores and 4 to 12 year-old kids through its P.S. from Aeropostale stores.

Marvel Entertainment, LLC, a wholly-owned subsidiary of The Walt Disney Company, is one of the world's most prominent character-based entertainment companies, built on a proven library of over 8,000 characters featured in a variety of media over seventy years.
