DFO ropes in Havana Brown for its latest fashion event

Direct Factory Outlets (DFO), Australia's first and largest factory outlets shopping centre, has roped in music DJ and model Havana Brown to pose for its latest apparel event 'Fashion Day Out' in an effort to re-establish itself as a leading fashion destination.

The event is a celebration of 'looks for less' for over around 100 big brands at four DFO centres at Moorabbin, Essendon, South Warf and Homebush.

During the month long campaign, essential summer trends like punk rock, haute hippie and colour clash to prints, great lengths, lace and oriental, would be exhibited.

Havana Brown will also hit the decks with exclusive DJ sets in Melbourne and Sydney towards close of October.

The DFO chain was acquired by Colonial First State (CFS) Property Retail, a year back, as the later identified the retail outlet centres as budding retail sub-sector. Since then, DFO has been undergoing major revamp, and the deal with Havana is the latest move aimed at overhauling the brand image.

The four DFO centres were picked for the campaign from a wide DFO portfolio, as these are the strong trading centres with great brand recognition, in addition to being nearer to the main roads.

DFO are large-floor warehouse buildings containing partitioned stores where retail outlets sell excess or previous seasons' stocks at reduced prices.
