A group of firms from Peru have paid a trade visit to Brazil and showcased their premium apparels made from alpaca, pyma cotton and tangüis in Sao Paulo in Brazil, Peru's Export and Tourism Agency (Promperu) said.
The Agency said the 26 Peruvian firms that formed part of the Textile Trade Mission to Brazil are likely to ink business deals to the tune of eight million USD for apparel exports to Brazil.
The mission, which accounts for over 30 percent of the overall global sales volume within the sector, featured woven garments and knitwear items, which were specially designed to match the taste of the Brazilian market.
During the visit, the delegation participated in around 435 business meetings with 97 Brazilian firms, which included several brands, importers, departmental outlets and distributors.
The delegation's visit, organized by Promperu with support from Peru's Commercial Office in Sao Paulo, was mainly aimed at diversifying and expanding in the Latin American markets by promoting the export offers there.
