Brazilian VICUNHA opens warehouse in Colombo

With the opening of a warehouse in Colombo, Sri Lanka, VICUNHA reinforces their strong presence in Asia. Ten of the best denim lines are now available, and the new warehouse has a total capacity of approximately 500,000 meters of denim ready to be shipped.

The branch is managed from company headquarters in Switzerland, under the leadership of the European Director Thomas Dislich.

"This strategic and very advantageous positioning makes us very flexible for the Asian market, especially for Bangladesh, one of the main production locations for Western brands and verticals. Goods can be delivered by ship less than seven days after they are ordered," says Thomas Dislich.

"This is a first. No other company offers this system in that area, with VICUNHA's standard flexibility and speed. Bangladesh is one of the biggest supplier countries – and is growing rapidly."

As usual, VICUNHA prioritizes global thinking in all strategic matters. Along with Bangladesh, they are focused on further locations in India and Pakistan. An inventory expansion is planned in the short to medium term.
