Thermo°Cool to be on display at functional fabrics roadshow

With Therm Cool FR, ADVANSA introduces inherent flame-retardant properties to the advanced dual thermoregulation functions of Therm Cool fabrics.

First showcased at Milipol in Paris and A+A in Düsseldorf, ADVANSA will introduce its newest innovative fabric concept to the market, Therm Cool FR, at Performance Days in Munich and Annecy in November. This new fiber adds to the unique mix of thermal buffering and evaporative cooling Thermo Cool is known for with flame retardancy.

Made for apparel applications with stringent safety regulations, Therm Cool FR delivers high performance while remaining soft and supple to the touch. Like all Therm Cool fabrics, the new FR product transports moisture away from the skin and helps regulate body temperature, enabling wearers to achieve the best level of performance even in rigorous conditions. Thermo Cool FR is designed for performance first layer apparel in apparel end-uses for professional uses and motor sports.

Therm Cool FR is inherently flame retardant, it self extinguishes without dripping, meeting safety standards without compromising comfort. Therm Cool FR complies with the requirements of all major flammability norms, including DIN EN ISO 14116 index 1 and DIN EN ISO 15025. The flame retardant characteristics will not wash out or wear away for the lifespan of the garment. Because flame-retardancy is inherent to the fiber, Thermo Cool FR doesn't require any special finishes.

At Performance Days, ADVANSA will be presenting a selection of concept fabrics displaying the many possibilities of Thermo Cool FR in first layer knits and fleece fabrics.

ADVANSA Therm Cool is the ultimate high performance material for thermo-regulation, which thanks to its unique fiber mix, provides adaptive smart dual function: evaporative cooling and thermo buffering. Entirely developed by ADVANSA, the product is also available in ECO versions with a polymer from renewable sources as well as in FRESH, with silver ions embedded in the polymer.
